2007 MES leaver Rebecca King (Watson) wasn’t going to let a global pandemic get in the way of her wedding plans! After getting notice of a postponement from her reception venue for their original mid-April date, Rebecca and her fiance decided they didn’t want to wait any longer.
With 48 hours notice, Rebecca planned a small family celebration with a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Lady’s Tower in Elie on Saturday 21 March. With only close family present with more watching via video link, it’s wasn’t quite what the couple had planned but it was an incredibly special and magical day.
Rebecca and her husband plan to have a big celebration with all their family and friends once life gets back to normal.
We wish them both all the best as they embark on married life!

Just down from the picture at the Lady’s tower is the bench that I dedicated to my parents Kate and George Henderson. I wonder if any of the Bridal party sat on it

I’m afraid we didn’t sit on it on our wedding day but I’m sure when we go back to visit on our anniversaries to come we’ll enjoy sitting on the bench and taking in the beautiful view!
