As our digital coffee mornings were popular during last lockdown with alumni and parents, we thought we’d try to run these again for the coming weeks to give people stuck at home a relaxed, social outlet at least once each week. Our next meeting will take place at 10.30am on Friday 9 April. Sometimes we will have a speaker, other times we will just gather together and share stories of times past and present.
This week we will be welcoming Dorothy Sharp (McNeill) from the MES class of 1960. Dorothy is the MES Archivist but also has a personal interest in the history of Edinburgh. Dorothy will be talking about her personal knowledge and research about the Ravelston site from 1620 to the purchase by the Merchant Company in 1960. We would love you to join us, whether you would like to contribute or just listen. If you have ideas for future topics please remember to tell us what you would like to see and hear about at future coffee mornings.
